New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, American Samoa, Hawaii to Vancouver
We leave in the morning for Auckland, New Zealand. Flying from San Diego on Hawaiian Airlines to Honolulu and then on to Auckland. Before boarding the ship in Auckland on April 5, we will be staying at Anderson Cottage on a cattle and sheep farm about an hour south of Auckland in Ngaruawahia, New Zealand. Will try to post updates - depending on WIFI and internet connections along the way.
The cruise is on the Oosterdam from Holland America. We are still uncertain if we will be stopping in Vanuatu, recently devastated by Cyclone Pam. Several of us on the ship were planning on visiting a school to take supplies but we do not yet know if the ship will stop. Many cruise ships have been taking relief supplies but passengers are not getting off since the tourist infrastructure has been badly damaged.
Looking forward to our first time Down Under!
